Palash Muchhal caught red-handed cheating: Wedding with Smriti Mandhana postponed indefinitely

The grand fairy-tale wedding between Indian women’s cricket vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal have been postponed indefinitely. It is said that Muchhal was caught red-handed cheating and openly flirting with not one, but three or four other women – even during the pre-nuptial celebrations – which angered Smriti who called off the wedding.

The wedding celebrations in Sangli, Maharashtra, were abruptly halted on Sunday when her father, Shrinivas Mandhana, fell seriously ill.

Hospitalised immediately, his condition forced the couple to postpone the much-anticipated ceremony, said a Times of India report. However, another series of incidents also came to the fore at the same time, causing the indefinite postponement of the nuptials.

According to official reports, Mandhana’s business manager, Tuhin Mishra, confirmed that the decision to halt
proceedings was made by the cricketer herself, prioritising her father’s recovery. “Smriti is very close to her father. She decided that until her father gets well, this marriage… is indefinitely postponed,” Mishra said.

But this does not explain why Mandhana deleted all her pre-wedding photos from her Instagram account. She also unfollowed Palash on Instagram and other social media platforms. If the reason for the indefinite postponement was only her father’s illness, she would not have deleted photographs of her cricket colleagues from the women’s team and unfollowed Palash Muchhal.

Following the series of events, Smriti deleted all wedding-related posts from her Instagram, including her proposal video. Her teammates and close friends, including Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, and Radha Yadav, also removed or unfollowed related content, fuelling speculation among fans. Mandhana’s older casual posts featuring Palash remain unaffected, leaving a big question mark.

Meanwhile, social media posts claim Palash was chatting or flirting with two women on WhatsApp. Even during the pre-wedding nuptials, he was seen getting very close to one women who was among the guests. All these acts angered Smriti, say sources who claim the couple are having “serious differences” at the moment.
